Casio fx-82TL

Brief History
The Sharp's EL-5100 announced in 1979 defined the goal has to be achieved by scientific calculators in the next years. The widely used calculators with algebraic logic perform operations as soon as possible, but formula-interpreting ones start calculation only when the operator pressed the appropriate key. This kind of logic allows algebraic expressions keyed in as written on paper. This technology was only adapted to cheapest calculator families in the second half of 1990s: Casio's advanced VPAM (Visually Perfect Algebraic Method) system first appeared in 1997 with the new fx-82W, which was replaced in 1997 with the S-VPAM (Super-VPAM) fx-82TL. Both of them uses two-line LCD display, has replay function to easily edit or correct the entered expressions. The memories are increased to 9. This model was in production to 2001, when it was replaced with the fx-82MS.
