Privileg 1081ESR-E
Brief History
Quelle International offered a wide range of scientific calculators based on Rockwell integrated circuits before ones with liquid crystal displays were introduced. Privileg 1081ESR-E is one of the smartest model of these calculators, used Rockwell’s A4800 chip, a very obsolete and weird circuit: it can’t hide leading zeros, so all digits are displaying at least a zero, even in the exponent part of the LED display. So 60 is displayed as 60.0000000 00. In addition to standard functions, it can calculate hyperbolic functions too.
