Sharp PA-7C12

Brief History
Sharp Corporation introduced the world’s first electronic diary (PA-7000) with intelligent IC card system in 1987. An expanding selection of softwares were available during the years for the PA series. The PA-7C12 IC card added functions of a scientific calculator to the organizer, become similar to the popular EL-556 (EL-576) model (statistics mode, displaying physical constants) with extra features such as formula-interpreting operation and 26 independent memories which can be identified with english letters. For retaining memory contents, the card contains a replaceable CR2016 type battery. Similar card for the export series IQ (OZ) does not exist, but the card allows writing and executing BASIC programs contains such scientific calculator mode.
