Sharp EL-512S

Brief History
Using the programming model of the EL-5150 (EL-5050) programmable calculators released in 1985, a simplified version was developed in 1988. The new EL-5010 calculator became a worthy successor to the highly successful EL-512 model. The two-line display, four program areas that can store a total of 256 steps, and the handling of conditional branches and loops have resulted in a much more widely applicable programmable calculator than its predecessor. Building on the success of its predecessor, the model appeared in Europe as EL-512S, and in the US as EL-512 II.

In 1989, a simpler and cheaper model (EL-512H) was completed, the production of which began in China. In Japan, only production of a more durable model for domestic education (EL-566) continued.

You can read more about AER versions, operating instructions and programming in a specific article here.
