Homeland 810 (Shufunotomosha-810)

Brief History
In addition to its core business, Toshiba has established a subsidiary for trading desktop and pocket calculators under the Homeland brand, which was mostly OEM products from other Japanese factories, but we can find some Toshiba-manufactured calculators in both brands.

The Homeland 810 model is interesting because some of it was marketed in Japan as a product of the Shufunotomo company. The company is very popular there with its magazines and books for women. The shufunotomosha itself means “housewife’s friend”.

The calculator itself is closely related to Lloyd's Accumatic, Unisonic and German Elite machines, which have also Systek origins, and similarly built with Hitachi HD36260 (Systek 81H model), or NEC uPD276C (Systek 81N model) chip, but all versions have display tube manufactured by Toshiba: the E6532 VFD tube was licensed from ISE, and was identical to ISE’s DP80B5. The first version of the Concept 24 model manufactured for Zayre Corporation (USA) is completely identical to the Homeland 810, and the Elite 3002 M and 6002 models only differ in its appearance and the display.
