Lloyd's Accumatic 321
Brief History
The first pocket calculators distributed by Lloyd’s Electronics company were manufactured by North American Rockwell, but due to the rapid fall in prices, OEM products from various Japanese manufacturers were sold from 1974. From 1975, the stylish, new E300 series were specifically designed for Lloyd’s demands. The cheaper models were originally made in Taiwan, later all the remaining models were made there.
Behind the same housing — with two color scheme: silver-black and brown — we can find the most popular domestic and imported circuits of the era. The simplest model here, the 303, has Rockwell’s A5911, while one of the most powerful model — with memory, parentheses, reciprocal, square, square root functions —, the 321, has the Rockwell’s A5501 chip. Some models were redesigned for different display tubes.
