Elite 7002 SR

Brief History
In the range of Elite own-brand calculators of the German stores Kaufhof, the top category was represented by the 7001SR, 7002SR and 7003SR scientific calculators. The three machines are built on three completely different CPUs: Elite 7001SR features a Japanese NEC chip that is also capable of calculating hyperbolic functions; Elite 7002SR includes the North American Rockwell's A4806 circuit, which is unique in that it only supports exponential notation; additional features compared to the previous type are the use of parentheses, trigonometric calculations on grads, and conversion between rectangular and polar coordinates. The 7003SR is a scientific calculator that competes with similar models from better-known manufacturers: Mitsubishi's CPU has statistical mode, can calculate hyperbolic functions, and has 4 memory registers built with full arithmetic capability.

The 7003SR is also available in a slightly different design, in black instead of green, from the Swiss ABM market chain, with the designation 'diamant scientific' but with the same model number.

In the second half of 1976, the 7004SR was also available, which was functionally identical to the 7003SR, but its appearance and power supply differ: while the 7003SR could be operated with two penlight batteries, 7004SR uses four of them.
