Mondimat LC 303
Brief History
At the beginning of the 1980s, pocket calculators of Taiwanese origin appeared among the Mondimat product line in the French catalog store La Redoute. The Mondimat LC 303, with the exception of some French and some English labellings, is completely identical to the Privileg LC 1020 SR scientific calculator, which could be ordered from the former West-German Quelle catalog store, or to the Radio Shack EC-476 type in the United States. The calculator was made using the Toshiba T3941 circuit, so it is functionally identical to the Toshiba SLC-8210 — with its 8 or 5+2 digit display capacity, and having the same functions as its contemporaries, it represents the entry level of scientific calculators, its target audience was students — as the "Étudiant scientifique" caption refert to. It was marketed together with its more sophisticated version, the LC 304, replacing the former models of previous years with NEC circuitry.
