Omron 850SD
Brief History
One of Omron's last calculator series, the 850s was made in a more angular, grayer design than the 860s. Before the production of pocket calculators was stopped, all available printed circuits, chips and displays were used, and the resulting machines were classified into different types: the versions without memory were designated 850S, 850SD, and those with memory were designated 850MS, 850MSD. The cheaply available machines were also used by even famous companies for various marketing purposes: the piece shown here celebrates the 60-year anniversary of the Nikon company.
