Casio fx-6500G

Brief History
Based on the world’s first graphic calculator, CASIO created a whole family of such machines. An interesting member of this family was the fx-6500G with its vertically half-sized display. The calculator itself was identical with the fx-7000G. Caused by the smaller display the calculator was smaller and thinner than its famous predecessor. The small display draws the functions with half vertical resolution by default. But activating a special mode (MODE 0) the calculator sets the horizontal and vertical resolution to equal, therefore only a half of vertical (y) range is displayed.

The early CASIO graphics calculators were able to display statistical graphs as a new innovation. These calculators can display the values on bar graph and draw the normal distribution function in one-variable statistic mode (SHIFT MODE X (SD2)), or the regression line in two-variable mode (SHIFT MODE ÷ (LR2)).
