Tabulex Delta
Brief History
Pocket calculators became very popular in the middle of 1970s, simpler models were extremely cheap. Some manufacturers tried to shrink the calculator as small as possible. The most well-known ones are british Sinclair Cambridge-models, but Tabulex in Hong-Kong made similar machines in a wide variations from four-function to scientific ones. These calculators were sold in Great Britain under the Dixons’ brand Prinztronic Mini.
The simplest model was surprisingly the Beta with only four arithmetic functions and switchable constant register. The Alpha can calculate percentages, Delta computes square root, Gamma has memory, finally the Lambda is a simpler scientific calculator with exponential notation.
