Zeny 801

Brief History
A less known taiwanese manufacturer, Zeny still active in business since 1973, founded for manufacturing calculators. Almost the full capacity of the new kaohsiung plant were reserved for OEM production, so the machines built from american, japanese and later, chinese parts were spread around the world. In addition to OEM products, in the early days Zeny produced some calculators under its own name. Zeny’s chinese plant is still in operation, and produces printing, desktop and pocket calculators for other companies, from which the most known is Sharp Corporation.

This calculator belongs to the courtesy of Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport.
