Casio ST-1
Brief History
Casio introduced the first combination of a calculator and a clock in 1976. The CQ-1 was a great success, so further development resulted an electronic stopwatch and a calculator combination: the ST-1 was in production from 1977. It was designed to be a stopwatch, so the start/stop button can be easily operated with thumb, the calculator keys can be protected against accidental operation by a window, and a visor can be attached to read the display even in strong sunlight. In addition to four operation modes of the stopwatch, it can perform operations with time data.
