Sears 58770
Brief History
Sears had broaden its product range with pocket calculators in 1972. Rockwell started its calculator assembly business after encouraging the success of Bowmar calculators, and provided a wide variety of basic, scientific and some special purpose models for OEMs. Sears offered some more complex models with the outline of the Sears Tower on the top of the stylish black housing. The scientific version was represented by the 58770 "Electronic Slide Rule" in 1974, which has an unusual feature: the used Rockwell A4002 IC provides the m+x2 function, which can accumulate the square of the displayed numbers.
