Olympia Youngster (LCD 220)
Brief History
At the end of the decade, the Japanese company GICO, which was a dominant keyboard manufacturer in the 1970s, developed a rigid, thin printed circuit board in cooperation with the American company Chomerics, which was perfectly suited for keyboard of thin pocket calculators. This is also found in Olympia's LCD 220 calculator, and its special edition named Youngster. The machine was equipped with chip and display offered by Sharp, which may be familiar, for example, from Texas Instruments' TI-1020 model.
